The Indian Hills Elementary School Fun Run is our annual signature event in which we engage the full student body, kindergarten- 6th grade, in a 30-minute outside run to raise money for our school. Students will challenge themselves to run as many laps as they can, and earn pledges from their family members and friends to raise funds for the PTO to support the school.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to cheer the students on as they run. Your child's teacher will let you know when they are scheduled to run as we get closer to the date!
The Indian Hills Parent Teacher Organization supports the students, teachers and staff at Indian Hills Elementary School by hosting family nights, coordinating volunteers necessary to run programs and events, providing classroom supplies and equipment, and fundraising for "big ticket" purchases that fall outside of the school's budget. In addition to bringing back our popular Fall Harvest Dance, movie nights, and BINGO this school year, the PTO provided each student and staff member with a free spirit gear t-shirt, set-up art stations and game opportunities to supplement recess offerings, and curated self-guided sensory spaces in our hallways to allow our students a variety of quiet activities to calm anxiety or re-focus their energy. We could not provide our amazing staff with the support they need, and plan our fun, family activities without the generous contributions of our community.
This event cannot take place without the help of volunteers! We need people to help secure corporate sponsorships, reach out to businesses for prizes, as well as help on the day of the event. **Sponsorship checks or community partner level in-kind donations must be received by March 31 to be included on Fun Run signage.**
Earn raffle tickets for fundraising and showing your endurance and good sportsmanship during the event!
Earn your participation raffle ticket with your first donation of $5 or more. Additional raffle tickets will be earned for each $25 you raise!
Raffle prizes include $50 arcade card to King Pins, $50 game play certificate to Top Golf, Scholastic Book Fair Gift Certificates and much more!
The class who raises the most money will get a Flashlight & Glowstick Day!
(No overhead lights will be used in class - only flashlights and glowsticks!)
Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year! Here are the incentives you can unlock on our way to that goal!
$5,000 - Raise $5,000 and the PTO will upgrade the Field Day refreshments from water and otter pops to sports drinks and a variety of popsicle flavors!
$10,000 - Raise $10,000 and earn a recess party! The PTO will bring the popcorn machine outside as well as additional games and equipment.
$15,000 - Raise $15,000 and Mrs. Thomas will ride around the school for the day on a tricycle!
$20,000 - Raise $20,000 and Mrs. Thomas will spend the night at the school!
